A glazed sunroom filled with low golden light, warm light through every pane

Sunrooms & curtain wall

Structural aluminium framing — glazed rooms and full-height facades, engineered per project rather than sized from a catalogue.

A sunroom is not a big window; it is a small building. Columns carry roof load, the roof drains through the frame itself, and every joint is a weather detail. That is why these systems are specified by member size and alloy rather than section width.

The German and European style rooms share a 120 × 120 mm column grammar in 3.0 mm titanium-magnesium alloy, in four base forms. The curtain wall system runs an 86 mm sash on a 120 mm reinforced mullion for high-rise and commercial facades.

Inside the frame

The same system, cut open. This is what sits behind the plaster once the trim goes on — and it is where a window succeeds or fails.

A frame section showing the continuous central EPDM sealing strip seated in the profile
The sealing lineA single continuous EPDM strip runs the whole way round. A seal only works where it stays compressed along its entire length — joins are where they fail.
A narrow-frame section cut through the sash and outer frame
The narrow sightlineHow little frame you can see is a function of how much structure sits behind it. This is the section that lets the sightline run slim without losing rigidity.
A window frame cut open in driving rain, showing the concealed drainage chamber in the sill
The hidden drainage pathRain driven at the frame collects inside the sill chamber and leaves through a concealed slot, instead of running down the face of the window.

Manufacturer-stated for the 120 sunroom system, tested to Chinese GB standards. These are the supplier’s figures, not Nautilus test data.

What a specific opening achieves depends on its size, exposure and installation. That is why we assess the opening before we specify the system.
